About Kicho
Kicho is a Japanese word for precious.
It's named precious because it represents matcha; it is delicate, precious and valuable. Kicho is an organic matcha that brings the highest quality ceremonial grade tea leaves from Japan to your cup. The tea is carefully milled and packaged to preserve its original flavor and aroma, while retaining a rich vibrant green color.
Setting the Strategy
Since it's a new account, our aim is to build an audience. Targeting Matcha lovers by showcasing the superiority of the product (it's precious Matcha) and gaining audience trust by being informative (knowing what we sell)
Choosing the right style of imagery that represents the brand.
Maintain consistency throughout and following brand guidelines.
Managing the Shoot
Starting with a mood board, I have explained my vision to the client in terms of how Kicho matcha brand imagery should look like.. the style, the ambience and the colours in the photos are crucial to represent the overall vision.
Product photos
I worked with the client on two sets of mood boards that we presented to the photographer.
One was product based, which had close up images of the matcha box & can, matcha powder and matcha drinks, to highlight the quality of the matcha.
Lifestyle
The second was a lifestyle shoot, which showcases the making of matcha drinks, as it's a very artistic, and for the people who are very into it, they recognise the specific elements and appreciate the authenticity in the process.
I have selected the items and materials for this photoshoot that fit the style and colour scheme and represents Kicho matcha.
BTS reels
At the time of the photoshoot, I was capturing some clips to be used for Instagram reels & TikTok. Combining these clips to create interesting short videos with trending audio, and use them for the launch of Kicho matcha website.
