Working with Calo for a year, I have gone through creating lots of visuals and animations for various campaigns in different occasions. The campaigns were done with the collaboration of the marketing team, growth team and the design team, by aligning on the main goal, the target audience, campaign channels and the content.

The Top View

Creating a design that is highly focused on food, showing how aesthetic and appetising it is, was a big part of the campaign. It was a launch for a new feature on Calo's app, called "Chef's Special", which was targeted for people who are into clean food with relatively low-care about the calorie count of their meals. While focusing on plates & ingredients, I still had to keep the presence of the app in the visuals, to remind people that it's a meal plan subscription.

As part of the initial research I wanted to get an idea about what some companies have done in previous World Cups, and who's better than the 2 most world-wide known companies for their brilliant marketing campaigns.

The Retargeting

I worked on a retargeting campaign, with the collaboration of marketing & growth team. Focusing on "Achieving Fitness Goals" & emphasising some app's features, like the calorie count for meals & the variety of options available to choose from.

As part of the initial research I wanted to get an idea about what some companies have done in previous World Cups, and who's better than the 2 most world-wide known companies for their brilliant marketing campaigns.

I worked on many animated ads for several campaigns. I believe that the addition of motion is highly necessary, while pictures and words can say a lot, videos are highly effective in reaching to people's emotions and connect customer's to the brand.


This animation was one of the series of videos that were launched right before Ramadan, highlighting some famous meals that Calo provides on it's menu.

I worked on an animated ad as well as part of pre-Ramadan campaign, this was more focused on "what we offer".


Displaying the packages available during the month of Ramadan, what they include & the pricing for each.


Plus showcasing some new menu items.

I have worked very closely with the marketing team when it came to directing photoshoots & video-shoots, as I always had a vision of my own on how things should be represented. This has lead me to handle some tasks like creating photography mood-boards, story-boards, generating ideas and getting familiar with trends, managing photography and videography sessions.

The Christmas Shoot

The idea of the video started with having two main points in mind, how to create an emotional attachment to the holiday and get more engagement, while highlighting the products of Calo. And to bring the brand's fun nature to life, I conceptualise the video to be like a story book, with sceneries form a magical land and add some storytelling to it to make it more playful.


Preparations started by choosing some components from Calo's snack menu, to go in the making of a gingerbread house to be shooted. The idea was communicated with the videographer with some inspirations, and we took all the shots required. The last stage was the video editing, I had to share some feedback with the videographer in regards of what scenes to be enhanced, switches, or removed to make sure the result turns out perfectly.

Gingerbread House

I wrote a poem to go along the Christmas Shoot, to describe the items within the gingerbread house, and it was voiced-over by one of my colleagues.

sat a house with three little trees

It had a roof of roasted oats

with chocolate, nuts and yummy treats

A door made of dates, so was the window

sprinkled with sesame and pumpkin seeds

Stop Motion

When brainstorming for content ideas, I've always been fascinated with stop motion art. I think it has the ability to deliver messages in a fun & interactive way, somehow playful.

New Year's Post

For New Year's post, I wanted to create something interesting & catchy. I was determined to create a stop motion video after looking through some inspirations.


I managed to plan and create two stop motion videos, to be used for different Calo accounts. I was laying out the materials & guiding the photographer, and later on I have edited and put together the images to create the final videos.
